History
Grassland Bovine was founded in Selwyn, New Zealand, a region internationally recognised for its fertile land, pasture-based farming systems, and agricultural excellence. Backed by more than 40 years of experience in the Selwyn agricultural sector, our roots are deeply embedded in New Zealand’s grass-fed bovine supply chain.
Today, Grassland Bovine is a trusted global supplier of premium bovine ingredients, spanning freeze-dried organs, dairy-derived inputs, and colostrum. Our portfolio includes grass-fed bovine liver, heart, kidney, pancreas, spleen, Teste, Female Reproductive tract and specialised bovine bioactives, produced to meet the demands of nutraceutical, functional food, and pet nutrition manufacturers worldwide.
With a strong focus on quality, traceability, and export-ready compliance, we support partners across global markets who require consistent, high-integrity New Zealand-sourced bovine ingredients from offal to colostrum.

Our Founders
Grassland Bovine was founded by Jake Stent and Alex Irvine, two New Zealand businessmen with deep agricultural roots and a shared belief that premium bovine ingredients should be built from the ground up, not extracted by distant corporates.
Alex Irvine brings more than four decades of experience across New Zealand’s agricultural sector, with a background spanning dairy farming, beef operations and large-scale livestock production. Raised with a strong connection to the land, Alex has firsthand experience in ethical, pasture-based farming systems and understands what it takes to produce consistent, high-quality bovine raw material at scale.
Jake Stent represents the next generation of Kiwi operators, combining direct-to-customer insight with global commercial execution. With experience building and scaling export-focused consumer and ingredient businesses, Jake works closely with international customers to ensure Grassland Bovine’s products meet real-world manufacturing, formulation, and supply chain requirements.
Together, Jake and Alex operate Grassland Bovine as a farm-to-finish, customer-first business. They remain directly involved across sourcing, processing, quality, and customer relationships, ensuring transparency, traceability, and accountability at every stage. Grassland Bovine is proudly New Zealand-owned and operated, built by local founders who understand both the land and the global markets they serve.
